We want to make sure all of our customers are not worried about any inconvenience caused by time issues in remote working. We treat our time synchronization system from all over the world as one of the most achievements of our products!
When it comes to remote work, tracking time is an important factor that can affect the success of the entire team. Time tracking can increase team productivity, help to monitor the progress of projects, and aid in accurate budgeting and forecasting. Without accurate time tracking, remote teams may have difficulty scheduling tasks, managing workloads, and maximizing efficiency.
Time tracking is particularly important for distributed teams, since it helps team members stay aware of their commitments and enables managers to monitor remote workers’ productivity. By evaluating how time is spent, distributed teams can improve collaboration and communication by allocating tasks and sharing feedback productively.
Also, an accurate time record system is very important. Especially in remote work, team might come from anywhere in the world. A flexible time tracking could make every piece come together and work smoothly.
This article will talk about the greatest effort Tracup team ever made in 6 ways to help better coordination in remote working:
You may come from 100 different countries, but we can all work in the same time zone!
One of the major difficulties of working remotely is the inability to organize meetings and work on projects at the same time due to different time zones. While there are various short-term workarounds, many teams are at a loss for practical, long-term answers to this problem.
Your team might have intelligent members from various countries. It is impossible for people in different countries to work at the same time. That’s why you need to select the time display zone your team agreed with in order to avoid misunderstanding due to 2 or more different time zones.
Set up specific time for meetings, due dates, reports, and other work-related stuff, you would find that work efficiency improves automatically without notification!
You know when to begin, and we know when to finish. These 4 types of task info would solve 90% of task issues that caused by time.
You have come up an agreement about time with your team. Now it is very simple to allocate Start Date, Expire Date, Create Time, and Update Time of a task.
Reminder: the Create Time and Update Time can’t be changed artificially. All the data is locked in the system. You can only change Start Date and Expire Date. That’s how we make every piece of data reliable for the whole team.
With more and more tasks, this is the tool that help you find a specific one from the hundreds.
A lot of Tracup users have tons of tasks in their workspace. That’s why sorting becomes more and more important.
Among hundreds of tasks, being able to sort and filter this data can be a crucial part of project management. Whether you’re trying to quickly spot trends, check the status of tasks, or allocate resources, sorting and filtering tools can be invaluable.
The first step in using sorting is to understand the purpose of sorting and organizing data. Sorting is an important organizational tool that allows you to quickly locate and access information. By sorting your data, you can quickly identify and address any issues or problems with the project.
Sorting by Create Time: the earliest task created will show on the top.
Sorting by Update Time: the task that edited most recent will show on the top.
Sorting by Start Date: the task that has the closest time to current will show on the top.
Sorting by Expire Date: the task with later date will show on the top.
Of course you can do a reverse.
Tips: sorting only affects tasks that belong to the same category. For example, tasks under Escalate will not go to Open, even they have the same date/time.
Add a date-related custom field from settings, and name it in any names you want.
We know that only 4 types of time category are not enough for complex work environment. Some times we need a more specific time classification, such as: break time, departure time, feeding pet time, etc.
Easily open from Setting, find Custom Field, then scroll down to Date.
Choose a name for this custom field and apply to your project.
For better communication, you can follow every single comment at a exact time point. Record every changes with accurate time stamps. Fasten your progress of time management!
The comment area will display several messages for users:
**All of these changes would come up with a specific time stamp including the date and detailed minutes on the right **(see the example above).
Also, you can use the filter button on the right to show Task activities updates or Note activities updates.
Knowing what, when, where, why by looking at the notification part. Specific to minutes for each task. Never miss any important messages from your colleagues.
Notifications with time stamps are an important way to help organize and track online activity. They provide a way to receive timely updates on specific events or topics.
Tracup has achieved this!
By storing the notifications in the notification section on the top left corner, Tracup provide a permanent record of when each event or update occurred (unless you choose to delete read messages). This enables users to easily look back and review what has been happening in their working time. Additionally, notifications with time stamps help make it easier to access information quickly, as users can easily pinpoint when an event happened rather than having to search through a timeline.
Certainly, the default notification is chronological.
You can always change what kinds of message you want to receive in notification.
Time tracking is essential to success in the workplace. It allows colleagues to effectively communicate and enables employers to ensure that work is being performed efficiently. Time tracking also helps store and categorize crucial data that can be used to identify areas of improvement in the workplace, helping increase productivity.
With the correct time tracking strategy and feature built in Tracup, our users would feel a dramatic change in their work life, no matter in communication, collaboration, productivity, creativity, effectiveness, or other fields!
